Product Name Type Connectivity Product Description
Modbus Mesh Gateway, SWGW-MODBUSNetwork GatewayModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' Modbus Gateway connects Spinwave's wireless devices to open-protocol automation systems. The device consists of a radio module with integrated antenna and a Linux-based embedded gateway. The gateway features an embedded web server for browser-based wireless mesh network configuration, commissioning and maintenance. The inputs and outputs of wireless mesh devices are, based on the device type, automatically mapped to Modbus registers. Applications range from wireless monitoring to energy management and demand response control.
Wireless Thermostat Controller, SWC-TSTAT-1ControllerModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' Wireless Thermostat Controller is a drop-in replacement for almost any existing conventional non-communicating thermostat, re-using the existing equipment wiring. Thermostat functions and values are accessible remotely through an embedded web page of the Modbus Mesh Gateway or via Modbus communication. The wireless thermostat controller is a full function wireless mesh device with integrated radio that can be configured to control heat pump systems, (with auxiliary or emergency heating if necessary), gas/oil heating systems with add on cooling, control high and low balance points as well as the number of heating and cooling stages needing precise control. It can even adapt to manage the number of fan speeds it must control.
Wireless I/O Module, SWIO-2AI-2ROI/O ModuleModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' wireless I/O Module is a full function wireless mesh device that provides 2 Inputs and 2 Outputs and repeats/routes the RF signal from other wireless nodes, e.g. zone sensors. Inputs can be configured for contact closure, thermistor or pulse counting (metering applications). The I/O Module features an on-board 24VAC power supply. The wireless I/O module is connected through Spinwave's wireless gateway (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP) to the automation system.
BMS Protocol Interface, SWRF-MODBUS-TCP & SWRF-MODBUS-RTUNetwork GatewayModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' BMS interface easily connects Spinwave's wireless sensors to open-protocol building automation systems. The wireless BMS interface consists of an RF receiver module and an open protocol (TCP) interface. Up to 31 separate wireless devices (sensors and/or repeaters) are supported per BMS interface. Sensor data points are mapped to BMS network variables and are presented to the Building Management System as Modbus registers.
Wireless I/O Module, SWIO-8AI-8AOI/O InterfaceModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' Wireless I/O Module includes an external radio module with integrated antenna. The wireless I/O Module is a full-function wireless mesh device that provides 8 Inputs and 8 Outputs and repeats/routes the RF signal from other wireless nodes, e.g., zone sensors. Inputs can be configured for contact closure, voltage (0-5VDC) or current (0-20mA).The wireless I/O module is connected through Spinwave's wireless gateway (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP) to the Automation System.
Site Survey Tool, SWSSTMisc. HardwareModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' mobile Site Survey Tool allows users to easily test the RF link quality and signal strength at desired sensor locations prior to installation. The Site Survey Tool takes the guesswork out of your quotes and installations. Pushing the survey tool's button will establish a communication link with the closest receiver module. The survey tool's LED and blink pattern will indicate the link quality and signal strength of the 4 best RF channels among all 16 available IEEE 802.15.4 channels. The LED's color will be a solid green for excellent links. A green blinking LED indicates a good link. The LED's state will change from a steady orange to a blinking orange for marginal signal strength and turn to solid red for out of range conditions.
Wireless I/O Module, SWIO-8AI-13ROI/O ModuleModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' Wireless I/O Module includes an external radio module with integrated antenna. The wireless I/O Module is a full function wireless mesh device that provides 8 Analog Inputs and 13 Relay Outputs and repeats/routes the RF signal from other wireless nodes, e.g. zone sensors. Inputs can be configured for contact closure, voltage (0-5VDC) or current (0-20mA). The wireless I/O module is connected through Spinwave's wireless gateway (Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP) to the Automation System.
Wireless Mesh Repeater/Router, SWRPMisc. HardwareModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' Wireless Mesh Repeater/Router significantly extends the range and node count of wireless sensor networks. The wireless sensor network (based on IEEE 802.15.4) outsmarts changing RF interferences with self-adapting frequency agility (patent pending). The installation of multiple Mesh Repeaters/Routers provides alternate wireless communication paths from sensors to wireless receiver modules thus improving the network's ability to cope with obstacles. The wireless network will automatically "heal" and reconfigure itself if a communication path is obstructed. Wireless Mesh Repeaters/Routers are line powered and, due to flexible installation options, can be mounted hidden in suspended ceilings or, alternatively, in the occupied space of buildings mounted on the ceiling or wall. Spinwave's wireless mesh network supports up to thirty Mesh Repeaters/Routers.
Wireless Zone Temperature Sensor with Override and Set Point Adjustment, SWS-TOSSensorModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave's wireless temperature sensors can be easily interfaced to any building automation system, by either: Mapping sensor's temperature and/or set point to analog outputs and override button status to digital outputs on Spinwave's DDC I/O interface (SWRF-IO), or Mapping sensor data to pre-configured Modbus registers or other industry protocol objects on Spinwave's wireless protocol gateways. The wireless sensor network (based on IEEE 802.15.4) outsmarts changing RF interferences with self-adapting frequency agility (patent pending). Sophisticated power management results in long battery life; 3 to 8 years, depending on transmission intervals. Battery health is continuously monitored.

NetQuest? Commissioning SoftwareSoftware - OtherModbus, Modbus TCPNetQuest?, Spinwave's intuitive commissioning and maintenance tool, takes the mystery out of wireless network deployment. NetQuest? software allows users to: Connect a PC to a wireless sensor network; Import building floor plans (a variety of image types is supported); Automatically discover wireless network devices (e.g. sensors and receivers); Configure receiver and sensors (e.g., transmission interval and scaling); Assign (bind) sensors to I/O interface points by graphically connecting sensor values (e.g., room temperature, set point or override button) to DDC I/O interface terminals (outputs); Monitor and verify sensor data, battery health and RF link status.
Wireless Pulse Counter, SWS-DPCMonitoring HardwareModbus, Modbus TCPSpinwave Systems' Pulse Counters are used to wirelessly transmit electric/water/gas meter values (accumulated pulses and pulses per time) and make them available as Modbus or other industry standard protocol variables using Spinwave's BMS Protocol Interface or as digital outputs (pulse replication) using a BMS I/O Interface. The Pulse Counter consists of a high-power radio and a signal conditioning module. The radio is connected through a standard CAT5 cable to the signal conditioning module, providing data and power to the radio.
